What We Believe
The Bible is the
Infallible Word
of God . . .
inspired by God, and used as the only God-given authority man possesses. God's precious Word is the lamp guiding the lives of men. Clear understanding comes through the anointing of the Holy Ghost. All doctrine, faith, hope and instruction for the church is gleaned from and must harmonize with the Bible.
(II Timothy 3:16, I John 2:27, II Peter 1:20-21)
The Bible Teaches
Our Access to God
Is by Grace through
Faith
Salvation originates in God's grace. Grace is unmerited favor, undeserved blessing and a free gift(Titus 2:14). Salvation is not earned or bought and is received through faith, which is our positive response to God's grace. True faith means trust, reliance, and commitment and is more than mental agreement or verbal profession. Good works are the result of true faith.
(Ephesians 2:3, 8-10, Hebrews 11:6)
The Bible Teaches
Full Salvation . . .
repentance, baptism by immersion in the wonderful name of Jesus for the remission of sins, and baptism of the Holy Ghost with the initial sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit of God gives utterance.
(Acts 2:38/Ref:"The Essentials of the New Birth" by David Bernard)
The Bible Teaches One,
True, Jehovah
God . . .
maker of all creation, who is the all-knowing, all-powerful, everywhere-present God Almighty: the source of all goodness, truth, and love; Who has manifested Himself as Father in creation, as Son for the purpose of salvation and as the Holy Ghost for the purpose of intervening in the lives of men.
(I Timothy 1:17, 3:16, 6:15-16, I John 5:7/Ref: "The Essentials of the Oneness of God" by David Bernard.)
The Bible Teaches
the Gospel of
Jesus Christ . . .
which declares He is the only begotten Son of God, who was born of a virgin, and lived to reveal to us God Almighty. As the Savior, He was crucified and died on the cross in our place: the supreme sacrifice for sin. He was buried in a tomb but rose again the third day, as the scriptures foretold, and is our soon coming King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
(Matthew 1:20-25, Acts 10:38-40, I Corinthians 15:1-4, Colossians 2:9)
The Bible Teaches
the Wonderful
Name of Jesus . . .
is the only name "...given among men, whereby we must be saved." (Acts 4:12) "Jehovah Lord","El Shaddai" and "God Elohim" are some of the Old Testament titles God used, however, the name Jesus means "Jehovah has become our salvation". This is the glorious New Testament redemptive name.
(Isaiah 9:6, Matthew 1:21, Acts 4:12)
The Bible Teaches
the Creation of Man
and His Fall
In the beginning God created man innocent, pure and holy. Because Adam and Eve disobeyed God they were banished from Eden. Sin, therefore, entered the world because of one man's disobedience. Thus, through Adam all were made sinners.
(Genesis 1:27, Romans 3:23, 5:12)
The Bible Teaches
Repentance Unto
Salvation
Genuine repentance, a confession and forsaking of sin, i show pardon and forgiveness is gained. (II Corinthians 7:10) The word "repentance" is derived from several Greek words which mean; change of views and purpose, change of heart, change of mind, change of life, to transform, etc. John the Baptist preached repentance (Matthew 3:1-30). Jesus proclaimed it (Matthew 4:17) and the apostles emphasized it to both Jews and Gentiles.
(Acts 2:38, 11:18, 17:30)

Water Baptism by
Immersion in the Name
of Jesus Christ . . .
thus fulfilling Matthew 28:19, "in the name of". Converts are baptized as the Apostles baptized.
(Acts 2:38, 8:16, 10:48, 19:5)
The Bible Teaches
Receiving the
Holy Ghost . . .
evidenced by speaking with other tongues. This phenomenal experience is a free gift preceded by faith (Hebrews 11:6), and repentance and is essential for all.
(Acts 2:4, 2:39, 10:16, 19:6, Joel 2:28)
